Reese

Reese’s story is woven with fate and faith. She wasn’t part of our plan, but she was always meant to be part of our family. Reese was a last-minute addition at an auction when she was four years old. We were about to give up and go home when I looked over at a dimly lit pen and saw a little bay mare. I had a feeling I couldn’t shake: there was something extraordinary about her.

We brought Reese home, and I poured my heart into her training. She quickly proved how special she was, carrying my mom to countless wins at rodeos and barrel races. Later, she continued that legacy with a client who also found success with her in the arena.

Over the years, the intensity of competition took its toll, and Reese’s days of running barrels came to an end. But what could have been the closing of her story became a beautiful new chapter. Today, she guides riders with patience, gentleness and a heart full of wisdom. She meets every person with kindness, builds confidence step by step and teaches lessons that go far beyond riding. Watching her do this work, we’ve seen her spark return. She has even dipped her toe back into competition through OHSET, taking part in events outside of gaming that show just how talented and versatile she truly is.

Reese is one of the most cherished members of our herd. She’s a teacher, a friend, and forever part of our family. For the rest of her days, she’ll be right here at home, loved beyond measure.
